Literature Text

I saw you out of the corner of my eye
So long ago, I knew then you had to be mine
Such a treasure as your smile
None can ever hope to, find
Ever again.

My love for you burns, so bright
In the darkest of nights I see you
My love for you grows to new, heights
Could nothing convince you, my feelings are true?

So shy I was then
Red in the cheeks, I blushed at the word friend
You showed me how easy it was to love
To ignore all the pain and see through the lenses
Of beauty one more time

My love for you burns, so bright
In the darkest of nights I see you
My love for you grows to new, heights
Could nothing convince you, my feelings are true?

Never thought you’d see me, in that light
O’ how it all felt so right
Struggle as you might
You had to see it
That truly I didn’t bite

My love for you burns, so bright
(Now you’re a kindled fire)
In the darkest of nights I see you
(Keeping me company ‘til the end of time)
My love for you grows to new, heights
(I told you I’m no liar)
Could nothing convince you, my feelings are true?
(You’re all mine)
This song is heavily inspired by the song "Brennende Liebe" by Oomph! (featuring L'Âme immortelle). I couldn't help but think of how interesting perspective could change the entire meaning of the song. So it inspired me quite a bit to do my own version in a sense. I hope it's different enough to not feel like a rip off or anything.

You can listen to the song here!

Hope you enjoy both :)
